Wolfson Foundation awards £120,000 grant to College Library refurbishment

The Wolfson Foundation has awarded Exeter College with a grant of £120,000 to support the restoration and refurbishment of the College Library.

Designed and built by Victorian architect Sir George Gilbert Scott, the College Library is one of Exeter’s distinctive landmarks. After over 160 years, the Library is currently being transformed to be more accessible, sustainable, spacious, and user-friendly while maintaining the beautiful historic fabric of the building.

The Wolfson Foundation is an independent charity, which supports projects in science, health, heritage, humanities and the arts. The Foundation’s generous support will help ensure that the College Library is a comfortable study space for all current students and students in years to come.
